CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – The University of New Orleans women's tennis team was shorthanded on Sunday and dropped their first conference match as a result by a 6-1 score to the Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Islanders at the Thomas J. Henry Tennis Center.

Â
In singles,
Anna Segarra Rius turned in another victory at the top spot in the rotation. Segarra outlasted Hortense Boscher 7-5 in a long first set before taking the second by a 6-3 score. It was the only point the Privateers picked up on the day.
