MEMPHIS, Tenn. - The University of New Orleans women's basketball team returns to the court Tuesday, Dec. 4, for game-two of a three- game road swing when they travel to Memphis, Tennessee to face the Tigers of Memphis.

New Orleans (2-3) is coming off a 67-56 defeat on the road at Rice last Saturday. In defeat, freshman
Traya Bruce hit a career-high 15 points for the Privateers.

Meanwhile, Memphis (2-5) dropped its last outing at home to Toledo, 58-48.

Bruce, a freshman out of South Lafourche High School, has reached double figures in 3 of the club's 5 games this season. The Cut Off, Louisiana native leads UNO in a number of individual categories---3-pointers made (7), free throw percentage (.818), assists (4.2) and minutes played (31.0 per game).

The most consistent Privateer thus far has been senior center
Shania Woods. While averaging 14.2 points and 7.8 rebounds, the 6-1 Woods has scored 13 points in three contests and a season-high 20 against Trinity Baptist. She has grabbed 9 rebounds twice (Trinity Baptist and ULM) and 8 boards against Pitt and Rice.

Sophomore point guard
Jada Duncantell is the Privateers' second leading scorer at 9.4 points per game. She played a season-low 17 minutes against Rice due to foul trouble.

Memphis, of the American Athletic Conference, is led by freshman guard Jamirah Shutes, who returned after missing the last two games with an illness to lead the Tigers with 15 points against Toledo. Shutes averages 13 points a contest.
