Beach Volleyball Completes Day One of New Orleans Invitational

Rachel Kuhn and Cara Sander went 2-1

COVINGTON, La. – Day one of the New Orleans Invitational at Digs Volleyball Complex came to a close Friday and the University of New Orleans (0-3) fell to the University of Louisiana at Monroe 3-2, Austin Peay State University 3-2 and Spring Hill College 3-2. Rachel Kuhn and Cara Sander went 2-1 in No. 1 with victories over Grace Convey / Gabby Love (ULM) 21-17, 21-16, and 21-18, 22-20 over Caroline Herrera / Taylor Hurst (SHC).
 
Versus Austin Peay, twins Victoria Corcoran and Veronica Corcoran upended Jenna Panning / Haley Turner 21-9, 21-13 and Brianna Vega and Madison Miller defeated Kaylee Taff and Cori Theiss 21-11, 22-20. Vega and Miller also won No. 4 in Friday's finale – 21-17, 18-21, 15-10, over Spring Hill's Catherine Milwee and Emily Greim.
 
Day two of the tournament begins tomorrow at 9 a.m. versus Houston Baptist and a noon contest with #RV UAB.
