VOLLEYBALL
It's a Texas three-step for the New Orleans Privateers (11-10, 4-3) who have three road matches coming up this week: Tuesday at Abilene Christian, Thursday, at UIW, and Saturday at Texas A&M-Corpus Christi.

- The Privateers have conceded the third fewest kills per set among all Southland schools. Opponents have averaged 11.47 kills per set against New Orleans this season.
- Shelby Pullins registered a career-best 11 blocks in the Privateers' win against McNeese. It was tied for the fourth-highest match total in Privateer program history.
- Andrea Nava is eight digs away from reaching 1,200 for her career. That total will move her into eighth place in program history.
- The -.095 opponent attack percentage by McNeese was the lowest hitting percentage vs. the Privateers this season. Four times, opponents have been held to an attack percentage of under .100.

WOMEN'S TENNIS
The Privateers women's tennis team will make the short trip to Hammond to participate in the George E. Fourmaux Invitational. The tournament runs from Friday through Sunday.

- This will be the fourth consecutive year the Privateers have participated in the tournament.
- New Orleans has two top three finishes in the Invitational: a second place in 2016 and a third place finish in 2017.
- The weekend marks the penultimate tournament for the women's tennis team. They will also head to Destin, Fla. for the TOPS'L Invitational (Nov. 15).

BASEBALL
New Orleans will have a fall exhibition game against LSU on Sunday, Oct. 27 at Alex Box Stadium. The game is scheduled for a 3 p.m. start.

The Privateers return six of eight starters in the field. Sunday will be the lone fall exhibition for coach Blake Dean's squad.

GOLF
The golf team will conclude the fall portion of their season at the "TVA Community Credit Union Invitational" at the Turtle Point Yacht & Country Club in Killen, Alabama from October 21-22.
Sophomore Grayson Gilbert has posted back-to-back top 15 finishes. Gilbert (third) and fellow sophomore Ryan Fulton (eighth) both rank in the top 10 of the Southland Conference in average score after three tournaments.
As a squad the Privateers rank third in the league in average team score, and have finished ahead of 12 Southland schools in competition so far – the most in a season since joining the league in 2014.
