Beach Volleyball Splits Day One of FIU Invitational

MIAMI – New Orleans (3-1) fell to No. 14 FIU before ending day one of the FIU Invitational in the Sunshine State with a 3-0 victory over San Diego City Friday.
 
Lucie Pokorna and Veronica Corcoran took No. 1 21-14, 21-12, Ally Carr and Victoria Corcoran were victorious in No. 2 21-10, 21-9, and Maxine Walsh and Trinity Jackson clinched the win for UNO with a 21-13, 21-8 win at No. 3.
 
Brianna Vega and Rachel Kuhn led 21-5, 13-5 at No. 4 prior to the match being called.
 
NEXT UP
The Privateers take on Missouri State and Florida Memorial Saturday morning, beginning at 6:30 a.m. CST.
