NEW ORLEANS – Privateer golf takes a set up in competition when they travel to RidgePointe Country Club in Jonesboro, Ark. for the 2021 Bubba Barnett Intercollegiate on Monday and Tuesday.
Senior golfer
Brady Bennett leads New Orleans with a 69.4 average – good for 33rd in the country and was just named the Southland Golfer of the Month for the second time in his career. Brady is the first two-time Conference Golfer of the Month winner in program history and has shot eight of his nine rounds this season under par – the most by a Privateer in a single season since 2009-2010.
FORMAT
The teams will play 36 holes on Monday with a shotgun start, and 18 holes on Tuesday. During the practice round on Sunday afternoon each program will play a pair of golfers in the Wayne Wolfe Collegiate Amateur - Brady and
Kyle Bennett will compete for UNO. There will be no live scoring for Sunday's event. Tee time on Monday is 8:15 a.m.
The following teams are confirmed to participate in the event:
Arkansas State (host), Central Arkansas, Creighton, Missouri State, Eastern Illinois, Evansville, Long Island, Loyola Chicago, Murray State, Oklahoma Christian, Oral Roberts, Southeastern, South Dakota, Stephen F. Austin, Stetson, and Valparaiso.
