BATON ROUGE, La. – New Orleans beach volleyball (3-4) will head to the LSU Beach Volleyball Stadium for the LSU Beach Invitational March 20-21 and take on No. 3 and host LSU, and No. 16 South Carolina Saturday, and Southern Miss and HBU Sunday.
All matches will be streamed on LSU's YouTube (https://lsusports.net/sports/2019/4/6/211793227.aspx) and Sunday's matches will be televised on Cox Sports Television (CST), home on Inside #NOLAsTeam presented by Ochsner.
Veronica Corcoran and Victoria Corcoran are 4-3 at the top spot, Alexa Spartz and Brianna Vega have three wins at No. 3, and Liz Gialanella and Madeline Drake posted three wins at No. 4.
Veronica Corcoran leads the program with 49 career victories, Victoria Corcoran ranks third with 40 wins, Vega has 36 victories (No. 4) and Ally Carr rounds out the top five with 33 wins.
ABOUT LSU
The Tigers (11-2) are 8-0 against the Privateers and 1-0 when hosting UNO at the LSU Beach Volleyball Stadium. The home for LSU opened in 2019. LSU is ranked No. 3 in the AVCA Beach National Poll.
ABOUT SOUTH CAROLINA
The Gamecocks (9-3) are 2-0 against the Privateers and the two have not competed since 2015. South Carolina is ranked No. 16 in the AVCA Beach National Poll.
ABOUT SOUTHERN MISS
UNO is 3-0 against the Golden Eagles (3-9). The Privateers swept the meeting at Southern Miss last season.
ABOUT HBU
Southland foe HBU (2-9) is 10-2 against UNO. New Orleans' last win over HBU came in 2019.
