CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas – No. 5 New Orleans (8-16) rallied to take the top dual and were leading in the second flight before the match was called with No. 2 HBU (7-21) eliminating the Privateers 3-1 Saturday morning at the Islander Courts at the Water's Edge.

Veronica Corcoran and
Victoria Corcoran took set one 21-18 as did
Ally Carr and
Maxine Walsh on court two following HBU's wins on No. 3 and No. 4.
Trinity Jackson and
Hannah Volpi's marathon opening set on court five ultimately went to the Huskies 24-22.
The Corcoran sisters took court one 21-17 to make it 2-1 in favor of Houston Baptist and Walsh and Carr led 20-18 after the 21-18 set one win, but HBU secured the win on courts three-five to advance to the semifinals.
