Mason Roberts is tied for 7th Place after First Day of the Pinetree Intercollegiate

DAY ONE RESULTS
 
NEW ORLEANS – Sophomore Mason Roberts finished the opening two rounds of the Pinetree Intercollegiate tied for seventh place to lead the Privateers after 36 holes of golf on Monday afternoon.
 
Having cracked the starting rotation for the first time in his career at UNO, the Lubbock Texas native finished his day with rounds of 73 and 71 – the latter being his first career round under par as a Div. I golfer.  Roberts eagled hole seven twice – the first two eagles of his UNO career – and made five birdies. Mason made par or better on his last nine holes of the afternoon with a birdie and his second eagle during that stretch.
 
After missing last week's Grover Page Classic Pepe De La Concepcion Quilez returned to the lineup for New Orleans and sits tied for 35^th after rounds of 75 and 77. Sophomore Kyle Bennett rounds out the Privateers inside the top-50 after rounds of 72 and 84 – tying him for 46^th place.
 
The Privateers are currently in 10^th place after rounds of 300 and 312. Round three gets underway tomorrow morning with New Orleans' tee times ranging between 8:50-9:30 a.m. Live scoring will be available on Golfstat here.
