Privateers Shoot 292 on Final Day of Colin Montgomerie Invitational – Move Up Two Spots.

NEW ORLEANS – The University of New Orleans Golf team bounced back in difficult conditions to shoot a 292 on the third day of the Colin Montgomerie Invitational – moving up two spots for a 7th-place finish at Augusta Pines Golf Course in Spring, Texas.

After no individual rounds of par or better by the Privateers on Monday, Grayson Gilbert, Florian Moosmeier and Ryan Fulton all finished at par during round three. Gilbert and Fulton each made three of UNO's 12 birdies on Sunday afternoon, while Moosmeier made par on 16 of his 18 holes to go with a single birdie.

Four out of five Privateers finished par or better on the back nine on Tuesday afternoon, a change from the front nine where the UNO five finished eleven-over par. 

Individually Gilbert finished the tournament tied for 23rd after shooting a 226. Brady Bennett, and Moosmeier both finished tied for 33rd with scores of 229. Thomas Artigas finished tied for 44th with a score of 232 in his spring debut, while Ryan Fulton finished tied for 49th at with a score of 233.

As a team UNO made 33 birdie putts including nine from Ryan Fulton – his most birdies in a tournament since the 2020 edition of the Colin Montgomerie – and seven from Brady Bennett, bringing him to 87 birdies on the year.
