DAY TWO RESULTS | DAY ONE RECAP
NEW ORLEANS – The New Orleans Privateers shot a 308 and ended the day in fifth place - just five strokes out of second - at the conclusion of second round of the Southland Conference Championship on Tuesday.
Four Privateers remain in the top-25 of the tournament individually with
Brady Bennett leading the way in first place after a 36-hole score of 145. The Zachary native, who has spent most of the year among the tops in the country in birdies, has sank nine birdies so far – the second most in the field.
Grayson Gilbert is tied for 11
th after rounds of 76 and 74, while
Florian Moosmeier is tied for 22
nd with a two-round score of 150. Rounding out the top-25 for New Orleans is sophomore
Ryan Fulton who has a score of 157 after rounds of 77 and 80.
Kyle Bennett replaced
Henry Augenstein in the lineup on Tuesday afternoon shooting an 82 in his first ever round in the Southland Championship.
UNO's 36-hole score of 607 at Stonebridge Ranch and Country Club is their best score through two rounds of the Southland Conference Championships in their eighth attempt at Stonebridge.
The Privateers have made 26 birdies so far – nine from
Brady Bennett, five from Fulton, four from Gilbert and
Kyle Bennett, and two each from Moosmeier and
Henry Augenstein.

"We had a rough day today. We didn't position ourselves well off the tee and had too many unforced errors – especially in the back of the lineup. On top of that we didn't putt very well."
