BATON ROUGE, La. - The New Orleans Beach Volleyball program came up short as they concluded day two of the Tiger Beach Invitational with losses to #12 Washington and Southland Conference leader Texas A&M-Corpus Christi Sunday.
The Privateers (11-11) dropped a 3-0 match to the Washington Huskies with seniors

Valerie Vujnovich and
Hannah Volpi pushed the Islanders to a 24-22 victory over them in the second set. Esarte and Ozaeta also battled to a 26-24 decision in their first set. Spartz and Jackson were on the way to adding another win to their record after taking the second set and leading the deciding set against the Islanders before the match was called at 3-0.
UP NEXT: The Privateers look forward to a five-match weekend at the Southern Miss Invitational March 31-April 1 in Hattiesburg, MS where they will take on the host Southern Miss, Central Arkansas, and Nicholls. Opening serve is scheduled for noon on Friday against Southern Miss followed by Central Arkansas at 4 p.m. New Orleans will take on Central Arkansas at 9 a.m. to begin Saturday's slate of matches followed by Nicholls at 1 p.m. and Southern Miss at 3 p.m.
