NEW ORLEANS – The University of New Orleans Track and Field program will split up for a pair of competitions in the Lone Star State this week with a group headed to the University of Texas' Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays in Austin, and a group headed to the Bobcat Invitational in San Marcos, hosted by Texas State.
The women's program is currently ranked No. 14 in the South Central Region by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches association, while the men are ranked No. 20 by the USTFCCCA.

Twenty Privateers will head to Austin, Texas for the 93
rd annual Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays starting on Thursday. On the men's side
Elliott Cummings, and
Mason Melancon both will participate in the 100M.
Jaden Forester will compete in both the 1500M, and Mile Invitational.
Matthew Hansen and
Evan Pardo will both race in the 10K.
Jorim Bangue (110M H) and
Jayden Sloan (400M) will both participate in hurdle races, and
Kolyn Saltzman will try to win his second 3000M Steeplechase of the season. The Privateer men will also compete in the 4x100M relay.
On the women's side
Vivette Green and
Aisha Johnson are both set to run the 100M.
Alexandra Weir and
Tshwanelo Maruping will both run the 1500M. Distance runners
Rebecca DeKay and
Mathilde Helms-Kjaer will compete in the 5K and 10K respectively.
Helen Baumgarten and
Sarinity Bracey are both set to participate in the 100M hurdles, with Baumgarten also set for the 400M hurdles.
Ariana Jimenez will run in the 3000M Steeplechase, and the Privateer women will participate in both the 4x100M relay, and the DMR.
The Texas Relays will be broadcast on the Longhorn Network and ESPN+. Thursday's coverage will begin at 7:00 p.m. and end at 10:00 p.m., Friday's coverage will be in two parts – 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., and 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Saturday's coverage will be live from 1:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Ten Privateer men are set to compete in the Bobcat Invitational over the next couple of days.
Christopher Murphy and
Ellis Cummings are set to run in the 100M dash, with Ellis set to also compete at the 200M distance.
Kelvin Chiku will race in the 800M and 1500M.
Cade Litolff,
Alex Soileau, and
Mason Appleton are set to join him in the 1500M.
Gary Sandrock will compete in the 5K as the only distance runner representing the Privateer men in San Marcos. Murphy will also compete in the long jump alongside
Nicholaus Smith – with Smith also set for the triple jump. Finally,
Matthew Christy will participate in both the shot put and hammer throw for the Privateers.
On the women's side nine Privateers are set to travel to Texas State.
Aisha Johnson, who is also set to compete at Texas Relays, is scheduled to run in the 100M.
Aryn Pitre will race in both the 100M and 200M and
Trinity Bracey is scheduled to run both the 200M and 400M. Distance runners
Anna Martin and
Michelle Folk will compete in the 800 and 5K respectively. Another member of the Privateer's Cross Country Championship squad,
Oxana Bonjorn-Giros will run in the 3000M Steeplechase.
Sarinity Bracey will run in the 100M hurdles. In the field events
Alimot Alowonle will participate in the long jump and triple jump, while
Karena Grigenas will throw in both the discus and hammer competitions.
