THIBODAUX, La. – Privateer Beach Volleyball split its matches to conclude the Clash on the Bayou on Saturday, beating Nicholls 5-0 after falling 3-2 in a close dual with ULM.

Alexa Spartz played in the No. 2 flight both duals, sweeping both of their matches. Senior Hannah
Volpi and
junior Valerie Vujnovich went the distance on court four in both matches dropping their first sets but finishing the job in the final two.
Game One: New Orleans 2, ULM 3
To kick off the day, New Orleans battled with ULM, and after the War Hawks won the first match at court five to go up 1-0, the Privateers looked to be in a good position for a comeback after Volpi and Vujnovich pulled out the win on court four. The senior duo won their match in straight sets on court two tying both teams, but ULM clinched the 3-2 win in the final match on court one.

New Orleans concluded the day on a high note leaving nothing for grabs in a 5-0 sweep over the Colonels. In addition to Jackson and Spartz, three pairs won in straight sets. The Privateers are 2-0 against the Colonels so far this season.
