NEW ORLEANS – The University of New Orleans Track and Field program will split its roster this week with a selection of distance runners headed to the Bryan Clay Invitational in Azusa, Calif. to compete on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday night while the rest of the team will compete in the Strawberry Relays on Saturday in Hammond, La.

Ariana Jimenez and
Kolyn Saltzman will both participate in the 3000M Steeplechase on Thursday night. Ariana's race gets underway at 8:45 p.m., with Kolyn's set to follow around 10:15 p.m.
Kelvin Chiku will run in in the 800M on Friday afternoon for the Privateers while
Matthew Hansen,
Rebecca DeKay and
Tshwanelo Maruping will compete in the 5K on that evening. Chiku,
Jaden Forester,
Anna Martin and
Alexandra Weir will wrap up the competition for the Privateers in the 1500 on Saturday night. Times for those individual races have not been announced.

For the Privateer men
Ellis Cummings,
Christopher Murphy and
Nicholaus Smith will compete in the 100M. Ellis and
Elliott Cummings,
Mason Melancon,
Jayden Sloan, and
Christopher Murphy will run in the 200M.
Mason Appleton,
Cade Litolff and
Alex Soileau will compete in the 800M.
Antonio Sanchez is set to run in the 1500, while
Antonio Delgado will take part in the 3000M Steeplechase. The only hurdler for the UNO Men will be
Jorim Bangue who will run in the 110M hurdles. The New Orleans men will also participate in the 4x100M, and the 4x400M. All races in Hammond are set to start at 11:00 a.m. with rolling start times.
Smith, and
Quinton Collins will participate in the high jump (10:00.a.m), with Smith also set to compete in the long jump (12:00 p.m.)
Dante Scott will be the Privateer men's lone participant in the triple jump (3:30 p.m.)
Matthew Christy will throw both the shot put and hammer, with
Trace Williams also set to throw the javelin for New Orleans at 2:00 p.m.
For the Privateer women
Vivette Green,
Aisha Johnson,
Sarinity Bracey and
Kaitlin Denton are set to run in the 100M. Green and Johnson will also run the 200M along with
Alimot Alowonle,
Helen Baumgarten, and
Trinity Bracey.
Aryn Pitre will be the sole Privateer woman competing in the 400M.
Oxana Bonjorn-Giros,
Irene Bonanomi and
Holly Hedrick will run the 1500M.
Sarinity Bracey and Baumgarten will also both compete in the 100M hurdles. The Privateer women are also set to enter the 4x100M relay, and the 4x400M relay. Like the men, the races are set to begin at 11:00 a.m. with a rolling set of start times.
Keneva Headley is set to make her Privateer debut in both the long jump (12:30 p.m.) and triple jump (3:30 p.m.) on Saturday with Alowonle also scheduled to participate in the triple jump.
Karena Grigenas and
Briana Bell will throw both the shot put (following the men) and hammer (9:00 a.m.), with Grigenas also set to throw the discus (11:00 a.m.).
