NEW ORLEANS – For the fifth straight season the University of New Orleans Track and Field program kicks off its 2024 campaign with a short trip up I-10 to Carl Maddox Fieldhouse in Baton Rouge for LSU's Purple Tiger tomorrow.
Interim Coach
Ben Hibbert will send 17 young men to Baton Rouge with
John Adesola (60M),
Kelton Brookins (60M), and
Madonna Favour (60M) all set to make their Privateer debuts.
On the women's side 18 student-athletes are set to compete on Friday with
Christina Davis (SP), and
Jannah Sharpe (WT) set to make their Privateer debuts as well. Twin sisters Agnes and
Ida Danner will make their first appearances on the track for UNO after participating in Cross Country last fall.
Things get started for New Orleans at 10:30 a.m. in the women's weight throw with
Briana Bell, Davis, and Sharpe while the final event of the evening for New Orleans will start around 6:00 when
Mason Appleton competes in the men's 3000M.
