Privateers Announce 2025 Track and Field Schedule

2025 TRACK AND FIELD SCHEDULE

NEW ORLEANS – At least 12 meets await the University of New Orleans track and field program after Head Coach Ben Hibbert announced his 2025 schedule on Tuesday morning.  

For the sixth time in a row the indoor season kicks off with a trip up I-55 for the LSU Purple Tiger on Jan. 17th at Carl Maddox Fieldhouse.

A pair of meets in February include the USA Jaguar Challenge at the Birmingham Crossplex in Birmingham, Ala. on Feb 2nd, and for the second year in a row a trip to Nashville, Tenn. for the Music City Challenge on Feb. 14-15 at Vanderbilt's Multipurpose Facility.

The Southland Indoor Championships are once again at the Birmingham Crossplex on March 2-3 and will be broadcast on ESPN+. The NCAA Indoor Championships are on March 14-15 at the Virginia Beach Sports Center in Viriginia Beach, Va. and will be broadcast on either ESPN2 or ESPNU and streamed on ESPN+.

The outdoor season begins on March 15th with a quick trip to Hammond, La for Southeastern's Sean Brady Invitational. A week later, on March 22nd, the Privateers head to Baton Rouge, La. for the Lurline Hamilton Invitational hosted by LSU. The best Privateers will head to Austin, Texas for the prestigious Texas Relays on March 26-29.

April opens up with a trip to Oxford, Miss. for the Joe Walker Invitational on the 4th and 5th, before a trip to Ruston, La. for the Jim Mize Invitational on the 19th.  A trip back to Baton Rouge for LSU's Alumni Gold wraps up the regular season on April 26.

The Southland Outdoor Championships take place May 15-17 at Wendel D. Ley Track and Holloway Field on the campus of Rice University in Houston, Texas and will air on ESPN+. The NCAA East Regionals are in Jacksonville, Fla. this year on May 28-31, and the NCAA Outdoor Championships are on June 11-14 at the University of Oregon's Hayward Field in Eugne, Ore. Regional and National Championship coverage is TBA, but will be aired in some form on the ESPN family of networks, and on ESPN+.
