NEW ORLEANS - Two pairs for the University of New Orleans beach volleyball team improved their win record with wins at court three and four against Southeastern to open the Southland Mid-Conference tournament.
In the Privateers first time hosting a conference tournament of any kind, New Orleans dropped two matches to SLU (2-3)Â and Boise State (0-5). Against the Lions, each court went to three sets.
Senior

Anne Marie Hardouin battled to victory in three sets on court four while senior
Hannah Volpi and junior Ivana de Carvahlo Peixe also pushed to a third set to give New Orleans two points in the dual. The deciding match came down to court one, where the Privateers dropped the third set to Southeastern by three.Â
The Privateers closed out the day with Boise State who swept the match 5-0.Â
UP NEXT: The Privateers will face Nicholls at 10:15 a.m. before Texas A&M Corpus Christi at 5:15 p.m.
