NEW ORLEANS – The New Orleans Privateers have announced the first two members of the signing class of 2026 in guard, Isabella Robbins and forward, Rhian Comery who will be joining the team ahead of the 2026-27 season.
Robbins preps at Houston Christian High School where she was part of a district championship team. A four-year varsity letter winner, Robbins was twice voted Academic All-District. She has also won Newcomer of the Year honors and was named a Superintendent Scholar Athlete.
Comery, a 6'0" forward, currently preps at Prairieville High School just southeast of Baton Rouge. In her sophomore year, Comery was First Team All-District. She has also earned All-State Honorable Mention. A 4.0 student, Comery has twice been selected to an All-District team during her high school career.
FROM COACH POWELL
These two incoming freshmen will be another two-some that will have an immediate impact on our program academically and athletically. Isabella is a three-way scoring guard that also creates to get others involved. As a crafty ball handler, she is consistently able to get to her spots on the floor.
Rhian is a high energy, high motor guard-forward. She is as agile as a big guard who can score on all levels but strong enough to play with her back to the basket. We are thrilled they chose us! We look forward to getting them to Nola to continue the work of rebuilding this program.
