NEW ORLEANS – The New Orleans beach volleyball team (2-8) finished with a 0-2 record today in its matches against Eastern Kentucky and North Alabama.
The Privateers started the day with a switch-up in the lineup.
Grace Hinchman was moved up to court two with
Ivana de Carvalho Peixe, while the court three pair became
Mona Salgado and
Renata Dykstra.
New Orleans fought hard in both matches but ended the day without winning a set. The Privateers fought hard till the end. This was especially evident on court three in their match against North Alabama where Salgado and Dykstra pushed the Lions to work for a 25-23 victory.
Tomorrow, New Orleans faces UT Martin and UAB to round out its time in Birmingham.
