Beach Volleyball Prepares to Host Pontchartrain Beach Bash Plus Southern Miss Visit

NEW ORLEANS – The New Orleans Beach Volleyball team is heading into a two-event weekend with one event of their own. On Friday, April 4, the team will travel to Hattiesburg, MS for the Hub City Beach Bash at Southern Mississippi for two matches against Southern Miss and Spring Hill. On Saturday, New Orleans will host the Pontchartrain Beach Bash, welcoming both Nicholls and UL Monroe to Privateer Beach. New Orleans hopes to keep the positive momentum going after their win against Mobile last Friday.

The Privateers will be celebrating Senior Day at the Pontchartrain Beach Bash, recognizing seniors Ivana de Carvalho Peixe and Tristin Smith for their contribution to the New Orleans Beach Volleyball program. There will be free entry and no concessions sold. Due to the Hogs for the Cause event being held near the Lakefront Arena, there will be limited parking available, especially after 10 AM. Match times on Saturday might also shift due to potential weather coming in.

For New Orleans, three out of their four matches this weekend will be rematches (Southern Miss, Spring Hill, and Nicholls).
