NEW ORLEANS – The New Orleans Track and Field team is set to compete in Fort Worth, Texas, tomorrow (May 3) at TCU's Horned Frog Invitational. This is the last meet for the Privateers before the Southland Conference Championships.
This is the first time in program history that New Orleans will compete at the Lowdon Track and Field Complex. The team is scheduled to compete with a condensed squad of 12 athletes in Fort Worth.
Notable distance and mid-distance runners will be absent from this meet, including Bourg, Metzger, and Pardo. New Orleans will also not be running in any relay events.
Helen Baumgarten and
Christopher Murphy will get things started for the Privateers at 10 a.m. tomorrow with the men's and women's long jump. The last scheduled event for New Orleans on Saturday is the men's 200m at 2:20 pm.
