NEW ORLEANS – The 2025-2026 golf season for the University of New Orleans beings on Monday when the Privateers travel to Memphis, Tenn. for another appearance at the Grover Page Classic.
Monday morning marks the sixth time in the past eight seasons that UNO has been a participant in UT Martin's Grover Page Classic, but for the first time the tournament will take place in Memphis, at the Links at Audubon. The Skyhawks regular home course – Jackson Country Club – is undergoing renovations.
The tournament will mark the third edition since the passing of its namesake Grover Page. Page was the first golf coach at UT Martin and served in that role for 35 seasons. He passed away in December of 2022 at the age of 88.
The program's best finish and score both came in 2021 when the Privateers finished in third place with a score of 865. Individually the best performance came that year as well when Brady Bennett finished tied for third with a 54-hole score of 209.
Last season four Privateers made their debut at the Grover Page Classic –
Jude Bourque,
Max Feistmantl,
Adam Trahan and
Garrett Trahan. New Orleans finished 15
th with a two-round score of 616.
Matt Weber led the Privateers with a score of 149.
FORMAT
The teams will play 36 holes of golf on Monday with another 18 on Tuesday. All three rounds will feature the shotgun format. Tee times begin at 8:00 a.m. on both days.
The following schools are confirmed to compete in the event: UT Martin
(hosts), Arkansas Pine-Bluff, Belmont, Bellarmine, Central Arkansas, East Texas A&M, Eastern Illinois, Memphis, Murray State, Nicholls, North Alabama, SIUE, Southeastern, Southern Indiana, and Tennessee Tech.

Taylor Boasberg will play as an independent. The senior averaged 74.5 in 20 rounds of golf last season for the Privateers.
