Freshman Samuel Capielano is this week's UNOPrivateers.com Student-Athlete of the Week.

Capielano earned the starting job at shortstop for the Privateers this season, and hit .444 (4-for-9) in the opening weekend. Capielano also had an on-base percentage of .500 and drove in four runs in two games against LSU and one against Southern.

In the Privateers' first win of the season on Sunday, Capielano played a big role at the plate by going 3-for-4 with two runs and two RBI.
