Shawn Semple is this week's UNOPrivateers.com Student-Athlete of the Week.

Semple guided the Privateers to a 2-0 win in the series finale over Texas A&M-Corpus Christi on Sunday. In his first start back since missing five weeks, Semple threw a complete game shutout and allowed just four hits.

On the day, 69 of Semple's 94 pitches went for strikes and he struck out five Islanders. It was the first complete game shutout by a Privateer since May 2002 (Brandon Kling vs. Arkansas-Little Rock).
