Cory Myers is this week's UNOPrivateers.com Student-Athlete of the Week.

A Friday starter earlier in his career at UNO, Myers was setback on more than one occasion with injuries.

With several of his fellow pitchers unable to make the trip to Alabama-Huntsville due to injury, Myers stepped to the mound and delivered in his first start since Mar. 12, 2011.

The native of Carlisle, Pa. picked up a win for the first time since Apr. 5, 2009 by allowing two runs on five hits during five innings of work on the mound. Myers struck out opposing players for the Privateers, who won 3-2 and snapped a seven-game winning streak for UAH.
