NEW ORLEANS – The two-month, 33-game journey away from home will conclude on Tuesday night at 6:30 p.m. as the University of New Orleans returns to Maestri Field to play Nicholls State.

Live audio of the game will be available on ThibodauxOnline.com with live stats available on UNOPrivateers.com.

UNO (3-32) last played at home on Feb. 19 when they defeated Southern on the grass at Maestri Field.

During their 33 games away from home, the Privateers posted a 2-31 mark while visiting several points within the state of Louisiana, two separate visits to California and trips to Texas, Tennessee, Alabama and Mississippi.

The return home presents an opportunity for a fresh start for a UNO team that remains one of the six remaining NCAA Division I teams with an unblemished mark at home. Joining the Privateers is a group led by UC-Irvine (14-0) and includes St. John's (9-0), Toledo (8-0), Manhattan (7-0) and Dartmouth (6-0).

Head coach Bruce Peddie will send right-handed freshman Scott Stonestreet (1-1, 6.75 ERA) to the mound against NSU (17-19). Stonestreet was the starting pitcher in 2 of 3 UNO wins this season, including a decision for the Destrahan native against Alabama A&M.

Michael Tedesco and Cameron Wheeless are the hot hitters right now for the Privateers, posting matching 3-for-8 efforts at the plate against Southern Miss over the weekend. Tedesco has tallied hits in his last two games while Wheeless is in the midst of a six-game hitting streak that has run his batting average to a team-best .264.

The visiting Colonels will counter Stonestreet with left-handed Patrick Shreve (0-1, 3.22 ERA). Shreve will make his sixth start after making his first bullpen appearance in a Sunday win over Central Arkansas.

NSU is led by Chase Jaramillo and his .355 batting average. Blake Bergeron bats .256 and has a team-best 30 RBIs, including six against UNO in the team's last meeting, an 8-4 Colonels victory on Apr. 6 in Thibodaux.

Following Tuesday night's game, the Privateers will remain home for a four-game series against Temple that gets underway on Friday night. Tickets for all UNO home games can be purchased at the Lakefront Arena Ticket Office or on TicketMaster.com.
