BATON ROUGE, La. – Wednesday night's baseball contest scheduled between the New Orleans Privateers and the Southern Jaguars has been cancelled due to poor field conditions. It marks the fourth game that has been cancelled or postponed in the 2014 season.
The Privateers had their first mid-week game against Tulane postponed due to lighting issues. New Orleans also had the series finale against South Alabama cancelled due to weather, and the mid-week series against Texas Southern shifted to a one-day doubleheader because of incoming rain.
New Orleans (3-7) will now take to the road to face former Sun Belt rival, Troy with a three-game set starting at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
