 THE SERIES:The New Orleans Privateers baseball team (6-10, 0-3 Southland) sets up for their second conference weekend series against the Stephen F. Austin Lumberjacks (5-13, 0-3) in a three-game series. The set opens on Friday night at Maestri Field at First NBC Ballpark with a first pitch of 6:30 p.m.

The Privateers did not play a midweek game after their lone scheduled contest against Louisiana-Lafayette on Tuesday was postponed due to inclement weather. It's the second game New Orleans had affected by weather conditions. The final two games of the Sam Houston State series were played on Saturday due to impending rain on Sunday.

Stephen F. Austin was swept in their opening conference weekend as well, dropping all three contests to Central Arkansas. The first two meetings went into extra innings and the series concluded with the Lumberjacks falling 11-1 in eight innings. During the week, Stephen F. Austin split a two-game series at New Mexico.

Matthew Dickey co-leads the Southland in stolen bases with 11. Dickey has also not been caught stealing on the base paths this season. The Lumberjacks have the highest team ERA in the conference (6.23) and are 12
th in the league in batting average (.230).

NEWS AND NOTES:HOME SWEET HOME:
The Privateers will be frequenting their own home diamond. New Orleans will not travel for the rest of the month and the remaining March schedule sees 12 games at home including conference home series this weekend and against Lamar. New Orleans also has a non-conference home series against Arkansas-Pine Bluff and three home midweek games against Southern Miss and Loyola (twice).

KEVIN'S Ks:
Kevin Kelleher had a streak of five straight appearances with 2+ strikeouts that ended in his most recent call to the mound last Saturday in the series finale against Sam Houston State. Kelleher has 12 strikeouts in 7.2 innings pitched this season.

FLYIN' RYAN:
Ryan Calloway racked up 10 hits last week in four games and had multi-hit efforts in each contest. Calloway had two hits in each game against Sam Houston State and is tied for seventh in the conference in hits (21).
