NEW ORLEANS, La. – The New Orleans Privateers women's tennis team (8-5, 2-2) looks to continue their recent run of success in conference as they face the Central Arkansas Bears (5-1, 0-1) on Sunday at the UCA Tennis Courts. The match is scheduled for a 10 a.m. start.
The Privateers will experience their first match away from home since Feb. 18. It's also been 30 days since New Orleans traveled outside of the state. The Privateers recently capped off a six-match home stand, going 5-1 with their only loss to Nicholls.
New Orleans picked up wins against Lamar and Sam Houston State to set up this match.
Marta Sans was one of three players who went 4-0 between singles and doubles last weekend.
Anna Segarra Rius and
Soledad Calderon Arroyo also finished the weekend unblemished. In doubles, Sans and Calderon are 7-1 and have won five straight.
The Privateers have gone 19-9 as a team in doubles matches this season. Segarra and
Anja Luethi have a 6-4 mark as a duo while
