Â
HOME PLATE SPECIAL:
Ryan Calloway scored a run in each of the Privateers' four games last week, boosting his total to 22 runs on the year. That total places Calloway in a tie for fourth in the Southland. Calloway also crushed his first home run of the season in Friday's win over Arkansas-Pine Bluff. Calloway's homer was the first by a Privateer lead-off hitter since Mar. 23, 2013 (
Chaz Boyer vs. Grambling).
Â
GIVE ME TEN:
The Privateers opened the weekend series against Arkansas-Pine Bluff with an 11-1 win on Friday night. With that victory, New Orleans has won eight straight games dating back to Apr. 2010 when scoring at least 10 runs.
