THE GAME:The New Orleans Privateers baseball team (14-29, 3-18 Southland) will face the second mid-week test against the Louisiana-Lafayette Ragin' Cajuns (28-15, 13-7 Sun Belt) on Wednesday at Tigue Moore Field. First pitch is scheduled for 6 p.m.
 
The Privateers pulled away from Jackson State to a 14-3 win on Tuesday night. New Orleans set a season high for runs and hits (18) in the victory. It was also the 13
th time the Privateers went through a game without committing an error. New Orleans was trailing 2-0 entering the fifth on Tuesday, but tied the game in the fifth and scored four runs to take the lead for good in the sixth.
 
Louisiana-Lafayette was scheduled to face Nicholls on Tuesday, but the game was postponed. The Ragin' Cajuns come in winners of six straight and swept their weekend conference series over Texas-Arlington. In the three-game series, Cajuns pitchers combined to allow just three runs.
 
Tony Robichaux is in his 20
th season in Lafayette and has won 760 games with the program. On Feb. 28, Robichaux won his 1,000
th game as head coach. Stefan Trosclair leads the team in home runs (10) and RBIs (30). Blake Trahan has 15 stolen bases, ranking fourth in the Sun Belt.

NEWS AND NOTES:FOUR!
Matt Rykaczewski became the second Privateer this season to rack up four hits in a game when he went 4-for-6 against Jackson State on Tuesday. 
Ryan Calloway collected the first four-hit game by a Privateer this season (vs. Sacred Heart, 3/3). Rykaczewski comes into Wednesday hitting a team best .341.
 
A GAME OF RUNS:
The Privateers posted their highest run total by scoring 14 times against Jackson State. All of their runs came in the fifth inning and later on a season-best 18 hits. The Privateers raised their season batting average from .263 to .267 in the win.
 
GOING THE DISTANCE:
Daniel Martinez provided the third complete game by a Privateer this season. After allowing two runs in the first inning, Martinez settled in and pitched all nine innings while also setting a new career mark with nine strikeouts. The Privateers have also gotten complete games on the mound from 
Alex Smith and 
Shawn Semple.
