Privateers Invade Austin for Three-Game Set Against Nationally Ranked Longhorns

AUSTIN, Texas – For the first time since March 2nd, the University of New Orleans (17-22) will play a nonconference weekend series when it takes on the #21/#23/#20/#23 University of Texas (26-14) at UFCU Disch-Faulk Field. Friday's game will be at 7 p.m., Saturday at 2:30 p.m. and Sunday at 1:30 p.m. All games will be aired on the Longhorn Network.

ABOUT NEW ORLEANS
Since moving to the leadoff spot in the batting order, Collin Morrill has gone 5-of-9 with four runs scored and is now batting .279 on the year. Owen Magee (.341) lead the team in hitting with four homers, a triple, 12 doubles, 23 runs scored and 24 runs batted in. Sophomore backstop Beau Bratton enters the series on a 10-game hit streak and is batting .318 with two long balls, three triples, eight doubles, 25 runs scored and 26 RBI.
 
John Barr is 4-2 with a 1.93 ERA and is limiting opponents to a .209 batting average in 18 appearances. Friday starter and Privateer ace Bryan Warzek is among the nation's leaders in punchouts and enters 2-2 with a 2.93 ERA. The southpaw has 83 strikeouts in 55.1 innings. Reeves Martin has five saves and 39 strikeouts in 34.1 frames.
 
ABOUT TEXAS
Kody Clemens, son of MLB pitcher and former UT ace Roger Clemens, leads the Horns with a .367 batting average with 12 HR's (2 grand slams), two triples, 11 doubles, 40 runs scored, and 43 RBI's. Zach Zubia follows with a .302 clip with eight bombs, a triple, eight doubles, 19 runs scored and 32 runs batted in.
 
The Longhorns are ranked #21 (D1 Baseball)/#23 (NCBWA)/#20 (Baseball America)/#23 (USA Today Coaches Poll)/#24 (Perfect Game USA).
