MONROE, La. – Veronica Corcoran and
Rachel Kuhn defeated host ULM in the top spot and in the exhibition,
Raegan Rozas and
Alexa Spartz defeated the Warhawks 17-21, 21-17, 15-9 Saturday on the ULM Beach Volleyball Courts. The University of New Orleans (10-8) fell to ULM 4-1 and split with Central Arkansas 1-1 before the match was called due to weather.
Veronica Corcoran and Kuhn won in straight sets 21-17, 21-18 over Tamara Merseli and Grace Convey, and Rozas and Spartz were victorious in the exhibition.
At No. 5,
Ehize Omoghibo and
Maxine Walsh took the first set 21-14 but fell in three, while
Victoria Corcoran and
Ally Carr took set No. 1 at No. 3 21-17 but the Warhawks came out with a win.
Against the Sugar Bears, Omoghibo and Walsh won in straight sets at No. 5 21-18, 21-15.
NEXT UP
The Privateers make the short trip to Baton Rouge for the Battle on the Bayou to face ULM, LSU, Spring Hill and Nicholls next week.
