Baseball Series Opener Suspended in Tenth Due to Rain

NEW ORLEANS - The New Orleans Privateers baseball team's series opener against the HBU Huskies went to extra innings before heavy rain and lightning forced the contest to be suspended. The game was tied at 6-6.

The Privateers rallied back from a two-run deficit in the ninth to force extra innings. As Reeves Martin came onto the mound, the rain picked up forcing the delay and eventual suspension. Erik Voller was scheduled to lead off the inning.

The contest is scheduled to be picked back up at 1 p.m. ahead of the scheduled start of Saturday's contest. Check our social media accounts for further information.
