NEW ORLEANS – Privateer baseball fans will have an opportunity to get a look at the 2020 squad on Jan. 25 when the New Orleans Privateers host Fan Day at Maestri Field. The proceedings will begin at 1:30 p.m.
Assistant Athletic Director for Communications,
Kelvin Queliz will open the proceedings. Coordinator of Athletic Communications and broadcaster,
Emmanuel Pepis will emcee the event. Head Coach
Blake Dean will introduce the 2020 roster.
The squad boasts many returning hitters from last season's team. In all, seven starting position players are back for the 2020 campaign, the fifth year under Dean's tenure. Nine returning hitters played in at least half of the Privateers' games a year ago. Five pitchers also return off the staff from last season.
The team will be signing autographs and there will be opportunities for photos. Fans who attend can also take batting practice and play catch on the field.
It's also a chance for those who purchase season tickets to select their seat. Season ticket prices start at $150.
After the proceedings, the team will play an intrasquad scrimmage.
