LAKE CHARLES, La. - The New Orleans track & field program stood out for the second consecutive meet as the Privateers had four event winners, 12 top-three finishes and 38 new personal bests at the McNeese Indoor Meet at the Indoor Recreation Complex on Friday.

NOTABLES
- In the first collegiate track & field meet of her career, Arina Kleshchukova won the women's mile with a 5:03.23 performance. It is the second fastest time ran in the event by a Southland athlete so far this indoor season. She also took fourth in the 600m dash at 1:42.48.
- Michael Strong continued his stellar start to the year with another victory in the men's long jump, this time taking the top prize with a best leap of 7.08m. It is the second straight victory in the event for the senior. He also finished 11th overall in the men's 200m dash with a 24.08 showing, which was a new personal record.Â
- Harrison Coleman was crowded the champion of the men's 400m dash after he recorded a top time of 49.87. He also placed second in the 200m with a mark of 22.59.
- Briana Bell captured gold in the women's 200m as she went off for a 25.74 performance.
- New Orleans had four athletes finish in first place of their respective events, the most so far during a meet this indoor season.
- Vojislav Gvero finished second overall in the men's weight throw with a best heave of 15.62m (51-3).
- Shamarah Shannon placed second in the women's 400m dash with a new personal best time of 58.29.
- Alec Snell took second in two events as he captured runner-up in both the men's mile (4:27.97) and the 600m dash (1:23.50).
- Kolyn Saltzman set a new freshmen record in the men's 3000m race as he dropped a 8:42.08.
- Senior thrower Danielle Lorenz claimed two bronze medals on the day with a third-place finish in both the women's weight throw (15.00m/49-2.50) and the shot put (13.09m/42-11.50).
- Matthew Christy took fifth overall in both the men's weight throw (new personal record of 13.38m/43-10.75) and shot (12.43m/40-9.50).
- In just the second meet of her collegiate career, Addison Fraker picked up a fourth-place finish in the women's weight throw (14.30m/46-11) and came in sixth in the shot (10.97m/36-0).
