NEW ORLEANS – In replacement of the cancellation of Privateer Pop Up, the 2021 season preview will go virtual on Wednesday, Feb. 17 at 6:30 p.m. Coach
Blake Dean will preview the upcoming season which begins on Friday, Feb. 19.

Dean enters his sixth season with the Privateers, a squad that has seen their share of preseason recognition.
Luther Woullard has been named All-Southland by the conference and Perfect Game. Woullard also joined
Gaige Howard as two-time Bobby Bragan Award Watch List nominees.
Salo Iza and
Chris Turpin were also given preseason all-conference nods.
Issac Williams was named Freshman of the Year by Perfect Game.
The Privateers won 10 of the last 13 games in 2020 before the season was shut down due to the coronavirus pandemic. They enter the 2021 season after being selected to finish sixth in the Southland preseason poll.
