NOTES
-Pearce Howard continues to stay hot at the plate after a stellar weekend in Stillwater. The junior outfielder went 6-for-7 with a home run in two games. He also hit his 40th career double, which moved him two away from the top ten in program history.

-Double plays have been the name of the game for an experienced defense, especially in the middle infield. The Privateers have 42 double plays turned which co-leads the Southland. They are ranked 19th nationally in that statistic.

-The Privateers had six players who earned All-Southland recognition, which was announced on Monday. That total tied the most all-conference honorees in a single season since 1979. In '79, New Orleans had eight all-conference picks. The last time they had six selections was in 2008.

-This season, New Orleans has not lost a game when leading after seven innings (19-0). That number bumps up to 20-0 when ahead after eight. The Privateers had the most saves as a team by any Southland school this year with 16.

-The two sides split four meetings in the regular season in Lake Charles. Howard and Luther Woullard combined for 15 RBI that weekend. Caleb Seroski had two saves with eight strikeouts in four innings of work.
