NEW ORLEANS, La. -
Ania Esarte and
Lucie Pokorna are the 2022 Southland Conference Beach Volleyball Pair of the Year, the league announced Monday.
The duo posted a 27-6 record at court one this season, including wins against No. 5 LSU, No. 21 Tulane and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi. Esarte, a senior from Madrid, Spain, also wins the league's Newcomer of the Year title after earning her way to the program's top pair and making an immediate impact alongside Pokorna.
Trinity Jackson and
Alexa Spartz also landed a first-team all conference honor going 22-12 this season at court three. At court two, Senior Maxine Hayes and sophomore
Hannah Volpi earned Second-Team All-Conference honors going 15-13.
Liz Gialanella and Ivana de Carvalho received Third-Team All-Conference honors at 7-9 from court four this season.
In addition, the Privateers landed three more pairs on the all-conference list.
