SCHEDULE HIGHLIGHTS
New Orleans will open the season right at home for 10 of their first 11 games. The regular season opens with a three-game set against Sun Belt foe, Georgia State. The Privateers will also host Evansville and Alabama A&M in that opening stretch.

The only road game will be the first contest of the 2024 Pelican Cup against Tulane on Feb. 27. The Privateers will host the Green Wave on Apr. 9 and May 7. New Orleans has won the Pelican Cup in three of four seasons since it has been contested since the Cup was brought back in 2018.

New Orleans will face off against LSU in Baton Rouge on Apr. 16. The Tigers are coming off a National Championship in 2023, their seventh in program history which moved them into sole possession of second place in most baseball national titles. That number only trails USC who has 12.

The Privateers will also play a pair of Power Five schools in the non-conference slate. New Orleans will travel to Tallahassee to play Florida State from Mar. 8-10. The Privateers and Seminoles have played three times in program history: twice in 1987 and 1991 as part of the Busch Challenge in New Orleans and once in an NCAA Regional in 1980.

Also for the first time since 2005, the Privateers will battle Mississippi State. The Privateers and Bulldogs had a long-standing history of 62 contests. This season, they will play a neutral site game in Biloxi on Mar. 13.

That leads into Alumni Weekend when the Privateers will host Memphis from Mar. 15-17. During that weekend the 50th anniversary of the 1974 College World Series team and the 40th anniversary of the 1984 team, which also reached the College World Series will be honored.

New Orleans will also have home-and-away contests against Southern Miss, Jackson State, South Alabama and Southern. The Privateers will play a non-conference home series against Division II Bluefield State from Apr. 12-14.

Southland play opens on Mar. 22 when the Privateers make the trip to Thibodaux for a three-game series against Nicholls. The Privateers will also play HCU, Southeastern and Northwestern State on the road. Their home Southland series will be against UIW, Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, McNeese and the final weekend which is against Lamar from May 16-18.

That leads into the Southland Tournament, to be hosted by Southeastern which runs from May 24-27.

WE ARE YOUR KREWE
For 54 seasons, Privateer student-athletes have had the unique experience of wearing New Orleans across their chests.  Like the city itself, our sports teams have been fueled by resiliency, grit, and the unquenchable desire to win.  Our city also houses the nation's biggest celebration each year. And much like a Mardi Gras parade krewe, we are tethered to our community through pride, tradition, a culture of acceptance, and finally our commitment to show that New Orleans is a world-class city to live, learn, play and work. We invite you to become more involved with the only University that truly represents New Orleans all day, every day.  Join #NOLAsTeam, We Are Your Krewe!
