Privateers Head to Mobile for Second Time, Face South Alabama

NEW ORLEANS – The New Orleans Privateers will take a second trip to Mobile to face the South Alabama Jaguars on Tuesday night at Stanky Field. First pitch is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.

The Privateers are coming off a 1-2 weekend at McNeese. After the two sides split the first two games, McNeese used a five-run fourth to vault their way to a 6-2 victory over the Privateers. Mitchell Sanford went 3-for-4 and drove in both runs for the Privateers on the day.

Brandon Mitchell won his second Southland Pitcher of the Week honor this season after throwing a complete game against McNeese. Mitchell has three complete games which ranks tied for third among Division pitchers.

The Privateers have 91 RBI with two outs heading into the weekend. Four Privateers are in double digits in that category: Mitchell Sanford (19), Issac Williams (13), Tristan Moore (11) and Jorge Tejeda (10).
