HEAD COACH JEFF LORIO
"We played even par today. We just were not as mentally sharp as I would have liked to see. We missed way too many opportunities on the greens and had too many bogeys and double bogeys on the par fives. We were a little sloppy out there today. Sometimes that's to be expected in the first event if the year but I would like us to come out tomorrow and play a good round to set the tone for the next three weeks. We are too good of team to play like we did today."
(on Kyle Bennett)
"Kyle played an outstanding round today. It was his lowest competitive round at UNO. He had a textbook day. I don't think he missed a fairway or a green. He just went around the course playing very smartly, never pressed and took the birdies where they fell. It was fun to watch."
