NEW ORLEANS – For the second consecutive season, and third time overall, the University of New Orleans men's and women's cross country teams will compete at the prestigious Arturo Barrios Invitational on Friday morning.
The New Orleans women finished ninth in 2022 and 28th last season. The UNO men placed 13th in 2022 and 34th last season.
Privateer junior
Emma Bourg holds the best mark for a UNO woman on Dale Watts Cross Country Course, finishing in 20:51.3 last season — the fourth-fastest 6K time in program history.
Former Privateer
Josh Johnston holds the best mark for the UNO men with a time of 24:05.7 last season — the fourth-fastest 8K time in program history.
UNO has also competed at the South Central Regional in College Station in 2001, 2015, 2018 and 2022. Both the men's and women's teams finished sixth in 2022 — the highest finish at an NCAA regional for either program.
Friday morning's races in College Station begin at 8:30 a.m., with the men running the 8K, followed by the women's 6K around 9:15 a.m. Live results are available at the link above, courtesy of Flash Timing.
