NEW ORLEANS – The New Orleans Privateers finished their fall campaign with more tough competition as they battled the Tulane Green Wave who received votes in the final AVCA Poll from 2025 during the Saturday at White Sands.
Every pair played three matches on the day in competition that started at 11 a.m. with all matches playing just two sets.
Mona Salgado and
Kylie Lyons scored a set for the Privateers in their final match of the day. After dropping the first set 21-15, the duo pushed through a tight set winning 21-18 against Tawny Ensign and Gabriella Kucinski.
The Privateers also had an intense match that featured
Molly Perry and
Sadie Elliott. The freshman duo played two long sets against Isabella Griffin and Giorgia Walther that finished 21-18, 21-19.
Tulane won the remainder of the sets throughout the day as the Privateers finished their fall campaign with experience against three teams that were either ranked or received votes in the last AVCA poll of the spring 2025 season.
NEXT UP
The Privateers will return in the spring with the Green Wave Invitational as their first scheduled tournament on Feb. 20.
