NEW ORLEANS – The New Orleans Privateers baseball program is excited to announce the First Pitch Gala, which will take place at Lakefront Arena on January 23, 2026. The event will feature dinner and drinks, a silent auction and keynote speaker, Buck Showalter who managed in the Major Leagues for 22 seasons and won four Manager of the Year awards.
The event opens to those with VIP access at 6 p.m. at Spotlights in the Lakefront Arena. Doors open for general admission at 7 p.m.
Individual general admission tickets are $125 and VIP tickets are $200. There are also different sponsorship levels ranging up to $10,000. All proceeds will go to benefit the Privateers baseball program.
"We are extremely excited to host this event," said Head Coach Andrew Gipson. "It's going to be an exciting night! We are going to celebrate this 2026 UNO Baseball Team and invest in our future. This event will raise funds to help with NIL and other initiatives at Maestri Field. We are grateful to everyone who has supported this event and look forward to seeing everyone there!"
Those in attendance will also get to hear from Coach Gipson and have a chance to meet the team ahead of the 2026 season.
