CARROLLTON, Ga. – The New Orleans Privateers' series finale at West Georgia scheduled for Sunday afternoon has been canceled and will not be made up.
The cancellation comes after heavy rain came through Carrollton overnight. The Privateers end opening weekend at 1-2 after winning the nightcap against the Wolves on Saturday, a game that was called after five innings due to field conditions and low visibility.
Game one of the Pelican Cup is next for the Privateers as they make the short trip to Greer Field at Turchin Stadium to face the Tulane Green Wave on Tuesday night. The game will be carried on 106.1 FM The Ticket.
