New Orleans – The New Orleans Track and Field team will travel from New Orleans to Baton Rouge for the Lurline Hamilton Invitational at LSU's Bernie Moore Track Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
This will be the Privateers 11
th trip to this stadium since 2019. They plan to return this season for the LSU Alumni Gold on April 26. New Orleans will have 30 athletes (16 men, 14 women) competing this weekend.
This time last year at the Bernie Moore Track Stadium,
Mason Appleton and
Gary Sandrock both set PRs in the men's 1500-meter race.
Evan Pardo also ran a personal best in the 3000-meter race. Evan has broken two indoor records this season. His success could certainly translate to outdoor.
Tomorrow's events begin for the Privateers with the women's hammer throw at 10:30 am.
Christina Davis is set to compete. The final scheduled event for New Orleans on Saturday is the men's 3000-meter race at 3:35 pm with
Mason Appleton and
Evan Pardo set to compete.
