Bourg, Baumgarten, and Favour Move Up On Top Performance Lists at the Lurline Hamilton Invitational

FINAL RESULTS (TFFRS) | PREVIEW

NEW ORLEANS – The New Orleans Track and Field team competed at the Lurline Hamilton Invitational on Saturday where they saw first-place finishes and personal bests that entered the UNO and SLC season record books.

Emma Bourg was the first athlete of the day to finish with a record personal best. In the Women's 1500m, she finished third overall with a time of 4:31.98.  This performance puts her second in the SLC Conference for this event (this season) and moves her from ninth to sixth on New Orleans' all-time performance list for the Women's 1500m.

Helen Baumgarten was the second athlete of the day to make her mark on the record books with her performance in the Women's 100m Hurdles. She finished with a time of 13.92, nearly shaving half a second off her previous best. Her performance also earned her a first-place finish in this event. Helen now holds the second-fastest time in the SLC Conference for this event (this season) and is now the fourth-top performer in Women's 100m Hurdles in school history.

Finally, Madonna Favour now holds the SLC's top spot in the Men's 100m with his 10.38 (-0.3), first-place performance at the Lurline Hamilton Invitational. Considering the wind speeds, this is a new personal best for Favour and it moves him up from sixth to fifth on the school's top performance list. Christopher Murphy finished right behind Favour in the Men's 100m, placing second with a time of 10.53 (-0.3).

Christopher Murphy also saw a podium finish in the Men's Long Jump, placing first with a jump of 7.13 meters. He now holds the fifth-high jump in the SLC for the season.

In the Women's Hammer Throw and Discus, Christina Davis threw two personal bests with a 37.92-meter hammer throw and a 40.11-discus throw.
