FINAL RESULTS (LIVE STATS) | PREVIEW
NEW ORLEANS – The New Orleans Track and Field team competed at the Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays, one of the largest of most competitive track meets in the country. New Orleans's 13 athletes participated in the events such as the 4x100, 4x400, 10K, 100m & 110m Hurdles, 100m, and Long Jump.
Petra Imre started the Privateers off in Austin with her 10K debut on Thursday night in which she finished 11th with a time of 38:33.84.
The Men's 4x100 relay team kicked off Friday's events with
Christopher Murphy,
Madonna Favour,
Darryl George Jr., and
Daryl Bachmann finishing 13
th in the prelims with a time of 40.39. Three more athletes competed in hurdle events. In the Women's 100mH
Helen Baumgarten placed 14
th with a time of 14.24, and
Olga Skolasinska finished 19.57 seconds to finish 56
th. On the men's side,
Taj Morris finished 26
th in the 110mH with a time of 14.70.
Madonna Favour saw competitive results in the Men's 100m with an 11
th place prelim finish. His 10.38 race put him three places away from qualifying for the finals on Saturday. He did not crack his top performance from last Saturday in Baton Rouge.
Daryl Bachmann also ran the 100m in a separate section, where he ran a 10.75 race.
The most exciting development for New Orleans came from the Men's 4x400 relay in which
Darryl George Jr.,
Jameel Williamson,
Tshilidzi Netshiombo, and
Travian Johnson collaborated to run a 3:13.98 race. This is the 11
th fastest finish in school history and is currently No. 9 in the South Central Region and 30
th in the East Region, which is a regional-qualifying list. The Women's 4x400 team, consisting of
Layden Jack,
Olga Skolasinska,
Annika Metzger, and
Helen Baumgarten, finished with a time of 4:01.20.
Christopher Murphy was the only Privateer to participate in a field event in Austin. He finished 14
th in the long jump with a top jump of 7.15 meters.
There were no New Orleans's athletes who qualified for Saturday's finals.
Evan Pardo also ran for New Orleans this weekend, just in a different state. Pardo traveled to North Carolina to compete in the 5K at the Raleigh Relays. He ran in Raleigh to attempt qualifying for regionals in the event. He fell short of a regionals qualification, running a 14:31.50 race.

New Orleans will travel to Oxford, MS, to compete in the Joe Walker Invitational next weekend at Ole Miss, April 4-5.
